Please read these terms carefully before using our software.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KaptureVault application (the "Software"), the optional KaptureVault account and Online Vault service (the "Service"), and the website at kapture.tools (the "Website"), provided by VybeCode Ltd ("we", "our", "us"), a company registered in the United Kingdom.
By downloading, installing, or using the Software, creating an account, or accessing the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software, Service, or Website.
We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use KaptureVault on your personal or business computer for any lawful purpose. You may distribute unmodified copies of KaptureVault freely.
KaptureVault Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features (such as expanded cloud storage and file hosting). It is licensed to you for the duration of your paid subscription, subject to Section 4.
KaptureTools will be available under a separate commercial license, published when the product launches. Subscribing to updates does not create a purchase agreement.
Some features require a free KaptureVault account, which you can create with Google sign-in or an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide an accurate email address and be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). You may delete your account at any time from the app or at kapture.tools/account; doing so cancels any active subscription and permanently erases your cloud data.
Your account password is separate from your vault encryption password. Your vault password is the only key to your end-to-end-encrypted data and is never sent to or recoverable by us — if you lose it, your encrypted Online Vault cannot be recovered.
The Online Vault is an optional service that syncs your vault and screenshots to our cloud storage. Your data is end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload; we store only ciphertext and cannot read your content. Storage is subject to the quota for your plan. You are responsible for the data you choose to sync, and for retaining your own copies — while we take reasonable measures to keep the Service available, you should not rely on it as your sole backup.
Pro lets you upload and host files ("User Content") and create public share links. You retain ownership of your User Content. By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and (for files you choose to share) transmit it solely to provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and must not upload, host, or share content that:
Public share links are public: anyone with the link can access that file until you revoke it. We may remove content, disable links, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and may impose reasonable storage, file-size, and usage limits.
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content hosted via the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to us (see Section 17) including: identification of the work, the URL/location of the material, your contact details, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. We will investigate and remove infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers.

The Software captures clipboard content, keystrokes, and screenshots on the device where it is installed. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws, including:
You must not install or use the Software on devices you do not own or have explicit authorization to monitor.
The Software, Service, Website, and all related content (including logos, text, design, and code) are the intellectual property of VybeCode Ltd and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you (other than your retained rights in your own User Content).
The Software and Service are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Software or Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VybeCode Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Software, Service, or Website.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) £50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your use of the Software and Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By default the Software stores captured data locally on your device. Cloud features (the Online Vault, accounts, and Pro file hosting) run only if you enable them and are end-to-end encrypted as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may release updates, patches, or new versions at our discretion. We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or maintenance for the free version.
You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it, and may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Software and Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
